- Served a four year term on the CT Section PGA Board of Directors, 2001-2004
- Ct Section PGA Private Facility Merchandiser of the year, 2004
- Recipient of the CT Section PGA Horton Smith Award, 2002
- Member of the Fairfield University Athletic Hall of Fame, 1997
RAY GORTON | PGA Assistant Professional
Ray has been the 1st Assistant Professional at Pautipaug since 1998. He began his golf career as the teaching professional at Great Brook Golf Center in Groton, CT in 1996. Ray graduated from the PGA Golf Professional Training Program in 2002 and was elected to PGA membership in May of that year.Awards/Honors:
- 2002 Acushnet/Titleist Scholarship winner awarded to the individual achieving the highest scores at the final testing from each PGA section
- Accomplished tennis player and played competitively on the NELTA tennis circuit from 1981-1991
- Winner of the Del Kinney Pro-Pro tournament, 2001
TIM VERVERIS | Assistant Golf Professional
Tim has recently joined the Golf Shop staff at Mohegan Sun Country Club at Pautipaug. Tim's professional resume consists of five years experience as an assistant golf professional at New London Country Club. He graduated in 2002 from Methodist College in Fayetteville, NC with a degree in Business Administration, accompanied by a concentration in Professional Golf Management. Tim is currently progressing through PGA certification and will achieve his Class A status upon completion of his PGA education.Golf Instruction Rates:
